Today we remain true to our roots and never stock anything we wouldn’t be happy having on our own table. Our hand-picked list of boutique estates each have their own unique story and appeal. We hold a large selection of varietals to suit all tastes and, because we import and deliver directly out of bond, we can provide fantastic pricing on volume sales.

La Motte

Nestled in the beautiful Franschoek Valley, and owned by South Africa wine-making royalty, La motte is synonymous with top quality wines, delivering award-winning wines year after year.

The Pierneef Shiraz-Viognier, inspired by the Côte-Rôtie style of the northern Rhone, is a fantastic expression of the estate and a firm favourite at Cape Grape.

Friesland

Brother and sister duo, De Bruyn and Marie, make their delicious wines in the bottelary hills just outside Stellenbosch.

Says winemaker Marie – “My favourite Friesland wine is the Broer & Suster Shiraz-Grenache. Firstly, because it is great for me to be working along with and producing these splendid wines with my big brother (De Bruyn Steenkamp), and secondly, because it’s the name that my father helped us choose, as he was so passionate about Afrikaans and always believed in strong family ties.”

Leopard’s Leap

Employing the latest in wine-making technology and modern farming techniques Leopard’s Leap produces fabulous wines reflecting the incredible terroir and cellar techniques.

Bouchard Finlayson

As a WWF Conservation champion, only 22 of the 125ha of the estate is under vine. Bouchard Finalyson is known as much for their internationally acclaimed Pinot Noirs, as well as acclaimed Chardonnays and Sauvignon Blancs.

Situated in the Hemel en Aarde (Heaven and Earth) valley close to the coast Bouchard Finalyson benefits from the cooler coastal weather, allowing longer grape hang time and suberb wines.

Landskroon

The de Villiers’ family have been making wine here for more than 300 years and it shows. Strong, robust, award-winning wines, a fantastic representation of South African wines.

They also do a fortified wine, Cape Vintage, regularly voted the best in the region.

Groenland

Following in the footsteps of winelands legend father Kosie, Piet is the 4th generation of Steenkamp wine-maker at Groenland.

A combination fo south-facing slopes, excellent soils and skills in the cellar, Groenland delivers the robust and powerful wines this region is known for.

Sustainability at Cape Grape

Sustainability, social responsibility and fair trading are important to us.
We only source our wines from owner-managed estates employing the highest standards of ethical trading, worker welfare and environmentally friendly farming techniques.

South Africa has a unique history and the, now thankfully ended, drought of recent years has brought environmental sustainability into sharp focus.

We’re proud to have partnered with erjjio studios, who specialise in the creation of sustainable, low-carbon websites powered by 100% renewable energy. They also plant trees on our behalf every month through their partnership with Eden Reforestation Projects.

Wine is extremely subjective and personal to individual taste. Thankfully we have many to choose from!

We ship directly out of bond and offer discounts on a second case and wholesale pricing from the third.

Tasting cases are on offer and we can create one to your taste. From time to time we have vertical tasting boxes, including two or three vintages of the same wine which often span 10+ years.
